Gynecomastia is a benign enlargement of the male breast tissue, most often caused by an imbalance of estrogen and testosterone. It may be present at birth (inherited), or develop later in life as a result of hormonal changes or certain medications. Gynecomastia can affect one or both breasts and usually appears during puberty, but it is not uncommon for the condition to develop in adulthood. The condition has no serious health risks and can be treated with medication, surgery, laser therapy, liposuction, or natural remedies such as herbs and supplements.

How to tell if you have Gyno or just fat

If you’re not sure if your Gynecomastia is caused by a benign enlargement or fat, there are a few things to look for. People with gyno will have a smaller area of the breast that is full and round while the other side just has excess fat. You can also touch your chest and if you feel lumps which are not fat, it may be Gyno.

How to get rid of Gyno from steroids

As it is not possible to remove Gyno permanently, the best way to get rid of Gyno from steroids is to stop taking the steroids that caused it. These include breast cancer drugs like tamoxifen and calcium channel blockers like amlodipine. And this will stop the production of oil in the sebaceous gland.
The next step is to use ice packs on the breasts for 15 minutes every hour or so. And this will help to dry up excess oil production in the gland. Along with ice packs, you should also go for routine exfoliation sessions twice a week before bedtime with an exfoliating scrub that contains salicylic acid of 2%.
To further aid the peeling process, you can also go for retinoid creams like tretinoin 0.05% gel at bedtime on a daily basis for several months until the gland gets completely dried up. You should not use retinoid cream if you are suffering from any forms of acne or severe inflammations on the skin.
The next step is to use anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen or naproxen sodium at bedtime for three months until the gland completely dries up. But when you are buying ibuprofen keep in mind that ibuprofen when combined with vitamin E capsules cause an increased risk of death. So you should use ibuprofen only after consulting with your physician. Also, keep in mind that you should not take this drug if your kidneys are not working properly or if you have hypertension or high blood pressure for which you are taking medication.
The next step is to use herbal supplements like green tea and saw palmetto extracts at bedtime in combination with a high protein diet and exercise. This will help to block the androgen receptor and boost testosterone without triggering estrogen or prolactin.
